I wanted to share this because I think it turned out so great! We are so excited for Kim and Rod’s wedding! I’m sure you can see why, they photograph like a couple of models!

We had so much fun going all over the place for Heather and Mike’s engagement session. We started off at our warehouse studio in downtown New Haven, CT and then headed over to Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford, CT for some amazing scenery. I’ve always wanted to go to the Big E and I mentioned it to Heather and Mike and they were down for a road trip. We are so excited for their up coming wedding this Friday, November 26th!

Viv and Eddy both live in Philadelphia and wanted to take advantage of the beautiful historic Art Museum area for their engagement session.

Kellie is a swing dancer so when we were thinking of ideas for their engagement session I said we should really do a swing dance! She wasn’t sure because Rob is newer to swing dancing but never the less Rob pulled through like a champ. He’s even added some jazz hands into his dancing routine! We went around downtown New Haven for the swing dance and then over to Edgerton Park for some more dancing just as the sun was setting. We can’t wait for their wedding that is less then a month away!

Kellie and Rob wanted to go to New York for their engagement session because in the short time that they have dated this is where they have spent a lot of time together. They met after being set up by friends in January and have been inseparable since! We had a blast during their engagement session. We took the train in from New Haven to Grand Central and from there went to central park. The weather that day was amazing for July! After a quick bite to eat at Josephina’s Restaurant we headed over to Village to Magnolia Bakery for some of the best cup cakes in the world! Kellie had told me that they agreed on no cake smashing at the wedding so I told her she had to do it now! As you can see in the photos she got Rob really good! She is now waiting for Robs sweet revenge.

Katie and Andy are avid rock climbers and love being out doors so we really wanted their personalities to come out in their engagement session. They really love the rustic look so we took advantage of down town New Haven and hung out for the day to capture these fun images. Their wedding is coming up this Friday at Wickham Park in Manchester, CT and we couldn’t be more excited for the big day!

Meet Susan, Jo Ann and their daughter Izzy! Susan and Jo Ann are both scientists and actually met on the job. They have been together now for over 10 years so they decided to finally tie the knot this coming September at the Mystic Seaport. We are so excited for their up coming wedding! We did their engagement session with their beautiful daughter Izzy around the town of Stonington, CT.

Crista and Neil came to meet with us as a recommendation from a friend while they were visiting New York this past January from their home in St. Lucia. We knew they weren’t from CT when it was 20 degrees outside and Neil was wearing short sleeves (he said the cold didn’t bother him. I was cold just looking at him in short sleeves!) Anyway, we hit it off during the consultation and a few months later (and much warmer outside) with another trip back to the states it was time for their engagement session! We decided to use New Haven as the backdrop for their session as it was something very different from where they live. Our friend Dave from Fairytale Studio was also along for the shoot. Make sure to check out his awesome video of the day. We are so excited for their multi-day Indian and Christian wedding that is at Coconut Bay Resort in St. Lucia in just a few weeks!

Kim and Mike are both in the Army and when you think of a Military couple the first thought that would come to mind would be that they are very strict and reserved. That couldn’t be further from the truth as we found out during their engagement session. They are so fun, laid back and love to laugh! They had both been deployed for over 4 years all over the world from Iraq to Afghanistan to Germany and are finally back in the states and ready to get married! Mike is a graduate of West Point Military Academy which is what inspired the beautiful location for this shoot. We can’t wait for their wedding that is just around the corner at St Clements Castle in Portland, CT on July 7th!

When we first met with Cat and Dave we were throwing around ideas for their engagement session and we came up with so many because they are such active people! The one that I knew we had to do were photos with them on Dave’s Harley Davidson Motorcycle. We couldn’t fit everything that we wanted to do in one day so we met up and again to get these awesome shots sunset shots of this fun couple!
